Today I’ve got something a little different to show- beadable cuff links for the guys! Invented by a Canadian, I was quite intrigued when the owner contacted me and I thought they were a clever idea. You can see a video showing how they work on the pranga & co website, but for those of us used to changing our bracelets all the time the idea is simple: just twist off part of the cuff link in order to customize it by adding an ‘anker’. The ankers come in a variety of materials such as leather, glass, semi-precious stones and wood. Here is what the box looked like on the inside.
The cuff links come in a variety of finishes such as Gunmetal, Rose, Steel and Gold.
The prices range from $25-$35 CAN, which is approximately $18-26 USD. You get a pair when you order either the ankers or the cuff links plus then there is $10 off if you buy the set, so what you see below, with the Rod of Inanna (Lapis Lazuli) ankers, would be $65 minus $10, so $55 CAN (about $40 USD).
I really like the Cowboy Browns leather and Oh, Canada 150 ones!
I put the ankers on my Trollbeads bangle. Left to right are Helix Gold, GP Latinum, Bacchus, Oberon Natural, Rod of Inanna, another Bacchus and Greenback.
Ok, let’s get to some photos with my favourite male model, my husband! 😀
Here he is sporting the Cowboy Browns.
It should be noted that you can use your own beads if you want to. Most Trollbeads won’t fit but Pandora and Ohm Beads will, as seen below. The website states that beads will need to have a 4.5mm core to fit on.
I also quite like the earthy look of the Oberon Natural cuff links.
Here are the Helix Gold Ankers.
Lastly, here’s a photo of my favourite ones, the Oh, Canada 150 wood cuff links. So awesome for the patriotic Canadian!
I hope you’ve enjoyed this look at something new for the world of modular jewelry. I really had fun playing with them and hope that the company does well. Any time someone makes something that can help people express their creativity I think the world is a better place for it. Feel free to leave a comment or if you have any questions I can try to answer them.
Disclosure: This is a sponsored blog post. Having said that, I really think these are fun. 😀
