May 18th will see the release of a small Trollbeads collection featuring one glass bead, a lock and five silver beads.
Perfectly suited to the summer, the Crab Lock has been receiving a lot of buzz on social media. The Crab Lock was designed by Kristian Krysfeldt and is $65 USD.
Not all paths go straight forward. Sometimes try to make your way sideways.
The Ocean Voice bead, like the other silver beads, was designed by Søren Nielsen and is $55 USD.
Listen carefully and hear the whisper of the ocean.
The Hiding Conch Bead is $35 USD. Quite frankly, I think these prices are really good for these beads as they are quite substantial and have a lot of detail.
Gently floating on top of the seaweed, the tiny home of the hermit crab has become a room with a view.
The Love Conch Bead is my personal favourite. It’s $45 USD. The details are quite amazing.
Happiness is finding love in each other in the big ocean.
The Ripples Bead is one of those fantastic small, abstract designs that looks so wonderful in multiples. It’s $35 USD.
Joyful moments come in waves. Be sure to catch them.
The last of the silver beads is called Seagrass and it’s also one which would be super useful in a pair or multiples. It’s $25 USD.
Firmly anchored and yet elegantly swaying from side to side, the seagrass gracefully follows the movements of the ocean.
The glass bead is a re-visit of Deep Ocean from a couple of years ago. This version is called Blue Ocean and it’s the same size. Designed by by Nozomi Kaji, it’s a Limited Edition release and costs $95 USD.
Let it stir your heart and fuel your imagination. The Blue Ocean is a place of life and true beauty.
That’s it! I’ll leave you with some more photos that I took at the beach. It’s was chilly and cloudy, but so nice to get back there again after what seemed to be an eternally long winter. There’s also a video up on YouTube, along with quite a few others. Please leave a comment and let me know if there are any pieces you’ll be getting from this collection. The glass beads are from the Delicate Kit, so pretty and pink!
Disclosure: For this blog I may receive some items as promotional samples.
Lovely photos and inspiration! The silver beads are nicely detailed.

Thanks for commenting April. I really am impressed with the details and the cost of these silver beads. The Ripples bead is totally on my wish list for multiples. Laura (@evepink123) was musing about them (or maybe the Seagrass ones) being on a bracelet, alternating with pearls. 😍

Good idea! How do the sizes compare with the pearls?

Check out the second to last photo and there’s a pearl just below the Ripples bead on the right.

Wonderful photos. It is a very sweet and simple collection. Although shells are not much Of my thing I agree with you on how the smaller round beads would be wondeful in pairs or on their own. The crab is sooo cute 🦀

Hi Alex! I think a lot of people, particularly east coasters, will love the Crab Lock. I kind of like how it is quite flat (and therefore comfortable) yet very detailed.

I admit, I could never get sick of ocean themed beads, and that crab lock IS an absolute must for this East coaster!

I do love all these new beads, and would pick up the whole collection if I could. Love seeing your photos! As always, I love the combinations you put together, and your photos really do a great job of showing sizes and how each bead would lie on a bracelet. Fabulous inspiration!

The highlight for me is definitely Blue Ocean. I was thinking I didn’t need it since I have Deep Ocean, but the colors are just fabulous, so I am already weakening. 😀 I agree with about the detailing in the shells. Love your pink bracelet. Sorry I can’t join in the love for the Crab Lock – it’s very nicely done, but I’ve always found ocean critters like that totally creepy, lol.
Happy Mother’s Day, Martha!

LOL, thanks Kim! Yes, I’m totally not an animal or insects person, but I don’t mind little crabs. I’ve always liked watching them on a beach and find them quite funny. I think a lot of people like the blue colour in Blue Ocean. I still like the original Deep Ocean a lot too, though.

Being an East Coaster, I think the whole collection is great! I’m not sure I’m going to get Blue Ocean though I think it’s gorgeous. I already have Deep Ocean, and I’m not sure it makes sense for me to have two such similar beads. If it weren’t so spendy, though, I’d be getting it! The shell beads are terrific, and they’re all on my list, though the two larger ones will probably be my first purchases of the collection. I love the crab lock! That’s definitely going on my wishlist.
Thanks so much for showcasing the new collection, Martha. Your words and photos are really informative and help so much in the decision making department. Now, if I only had a money tree…

Hi Beth! So nice to hear of another East Coaster who loves the collection. I have such great memories of camping in Maine, Nova Scotia, PEI and Newfoundland. I love the rocky shores of the east coast so the Crab Lock was very exciting. Thanks for leaving a comment!
