There were quite a few new beads out from Ohm Beads this November and I have several to share today. There are three new glass beads ($50 USD each) that go together beautifully and they are regular collection beads. The yellow one is called Sunlight and it’s such a cheery shade of yellow. The gold foil in it really makes it seem to glow. The pink one is called Gilded Pink and then there is the stunning Sugared Foam which is easily my favourite.
I put the Gilded Pink with some baking themed beads as they made me think of that pink sanding sugar that you sometimes see on cookies.
The Sugared Foam beads are so pretty and here I’ve paired them with an older Ohm Bead called Sugar Sleigh Ride 2.0. Hang on because Christmas is only 6 weeks away!
In this combo I’ve put the Sunlight and Sugared Foam beads with two Lilac Dreams. I absolutely love how the yellow pops here.
Here’s one last shot of the Gilded Pink.
Next up is the whimsical Land Line bead ($130 USD) that has a moving dial!
I tried this in a few ways-with other beads, stoppers, etc., but ultimately I felt it sat the best for me on leather.
As you can see, the details and shape to this rotary phone are very realistic. I think it’s a great focal bead and doesn’t really need anything else to go with it. It’s going to have a permanent place on the leather and I hope the leather bracelets get released soon as I really like mine. Check out the photos below and take a peek at some of the numbers through the holes.
Lastly, I have the two beads ($45 USD each) released to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the armistice of World War One. Remember is a red glass bead and Poppy is a silver one.
The details on Poppy are really intricate.
Even though Remembrance Day (that’s what we call it in Canada) is over, this red is a great match for the previously released Strawberry bead.
That’s it for today! There have been quite a few new releases from Ohm Beads lately, so do take a look. Pretty soon it will be time for Beadmas, where Ohm Beads will be doing many giveaways on different platforms of social media daily from December 1-12. Santa’s been keeping a naughty and nice list! It will be lots of fun and I look forward to running several of the giveaways. As always, do let me know if any of these beads appeal to you!
Disclosure: For this blog post I may receive some items as promotional samples.
All the new glass beads are beautiful Martha. And I know I am dating myself when I say I used to use a rotary dial phone! Is that ever cute?! Can I please ask who makes the baking theme beads? I am a consummate baker so they might have to come be on a bracelet for me! Thanks!

I clearly remember having to wait while the dial went back from each number, Susan! It was so time consuming, LOL!! The baking beads are old Chamilia ones from years ago. I’m not sure why the new glass Ohm Beads make me think of baking, but I had visions of sugarplums dancing in my head and the baking beads seemed to be a perfect fit.

The Sugared Foam is my favourite but that clever Phone fills me with nostalgia. I’m old enough to say that we had a party line! I also remember my phone number. 278 0139 As ever, your photos and stylings are inspiring!

I also adore the Sugared Foam, Sarah, as it’s such a pretty colour. The phone really is a wonderful bead for reminiscing. Thanks for reading and enjoy your day!

My childhood phone number was 560-0593 Sarah and while I remember this style phone I remember the wall version hanging in the kitchen with the cord that stretched around the wall into the living room for ‘privacy’ 🤣

Oh yes! Our first one hung on the wall in the kitchen. For privacy we had to go around the corner down the stairs to the basement. I love how this bead is bringing up long forgotten memories!

Paula I agree that the red is a gorgeous colour. It will also be really useful for the Christmas season. The nice thing about the beads that you like is that they are not limited edition, so there’s no rush to buy. But yes, there’s lots to like here and money doesn’t grow on trees unfortunately.

Martha, Will you help me? I am needing to buy some Chamilia beads from London. They have ones there that they do not have here in the U. S. Do you know anyone in London who could help me to get the beads. I can send them the money or I can buy them via Ebay or I can call th store and have them held until the person gets there to pick them up and I could have already paid for them. I have never used a “bead fairy” as I have seen them called, but I really need some help this time. The beads are from H. Samuels. I do not know if they can ship to Canada or not. I cannot find the country list on their website. I have family in Canada. Please tell me what you know about this if you have experience in this area.

I know some people use a parcel service, so like if you want to buy beads but the store or company doesn’t ship to your country, the service will buy them then ship them for you. If you are interested I could find out the name of one of the services. I don’t know the cost, I’m afraid, but I know a Korean buyer uses them quite a bit.
