OHM has made some really cool dinosaur skull beads in the past and recently they came up with a silver Dragon Skull and some glass beads to go along with it. Much like the previous Rawr glass beads, they are a bit bigger than the regular OHM glass bead size. Let’s start with the Dragon Skull though, as it is an amazing piece of jewelry. The teeth are so fierce looking. I’m not a fan of human skull jewelry but this really caught my attention.
It hangs nicely on the OHM Ball Necklace. I’m going to wear it to work this week and hope it doesn’t scare the kiddies!
The glass has incredible texture to it. There’s been some confusion as to which is which so here is a primer from OHM.
My favourite is the Dragon Skin. Just look at this!

I immediately wanted to try them with the retired Rocky Beach Kit from Trollbeads as it also shouts texture. It’s quite a different look but I love it.

Ultimately I’ve decided that for me, the Dragon Skull sits best on leather if I’m not using it as a necklace. The OHM Whip Bracelet is perfect. I made a video for YouTube that shows one way to put the leather bracelet on. Here’s the link:
With this bracelet I added in the old T-Rex skull and two Bollywood beads. It makes for a fun, casual look!

This new Dragon Skull is marvellous and so dramatic! I love all of the glass beads and especially Dragon Skin. You did brilliantly to pair them with the Beach Kit (x2?), I have had fun trying my Ohm Lilac Rain with other pieces in my bead collection. I only have two Ohm glass beads and, now I think I’d like to buy a couple more and make a permanent Ohm bracelet as the collection is so different and original compared to my collection. So much for my New Year Resolution!

Hi Sarah! I’ll have to look through your photos to see what your other OHM glass is. 🤔 I might try to make a couple of permanent leather bracelets like this, as I love the casual look and how they don’t move around much. I think permanent bracelets are a great idea for getting ready quickly in the morning!

It’s the “Erie Rocks” which I bought when we went to the Bead Bash. It doesn’t at all work with my beautiful “Martha Bead”, but I will enjoy the search . I wish I had 2 more Lilac Rain. Sigh…. note to self , Resolutions regarding bead bans are ridiculous.

Oh my…I could see myself buying a couple of the glass beads. Definitely Dragon Bone & then Dragon Skin. The texture is amazing!
Is there any point even trying to have a bead ban given how fast new beads are being released. I still love collecting but it’s starting to become a bit overwhelming 😳

Hi Marisa! Yes, there are lots of new OHM beads plus it seems like there are several newish smaller brands too. It does make one feel like it’s necessary to be a bit choosy at this point.
