A while back I started noticing the Instagram posts of a lady from The Netherlands named Wendy who was in the process of developing a brand of silver beads and other jewelry such as bracelets and necklaces called Corner 35. I liked her style so offered to help spread the word once she opened for business. There are so many bead brands out there that I now look for brands that make something that can’t be found elsewhere. Some of the beads that caught my eye are the Candy for me, Just a bag, Two peas in a pod, Wannabe ghost as well as the three I will be showing here. I like the creativity and the beads are nice and solid. With the prices listed, deduct 21% for VAT if you live outside of the EU.
The one that really struck my fancy is called Campfire (€79). We used to go camping all the time with the kids and what fun to have a reminder of those days. Check out the detail of the logs at the bottom.
I thought it would work on a bangle alongside the Redbalifrog Log Stoppers and True Beadz glass and wood beads.
Campfires also make me think of s’mores. If you aren’t familiar with them, they are a treat you make by roasting a marshmallow over a fire, then place the marshmallow on a graham cracker with some chocolate. Put on another graham cracker and squish it down. Delicious!
The beads above are a Trollbeads Golden Rutilated Quartz, a retired Ohm Beads Hot Chocolate, retired Ohm Beads Cold Milk and a Trollbeads Cat’s Eye Quartz Bead.
The next bead is called Lovingly ladybugs (€79). Notice how one of them has its wings slightly spread.
Clearly this bead was meant to go with the Melanie Moertel Ladybugs!
It should be noted that these beads have a larger core so do fit Pandora bracelets.
Lastly, here is the sweet Curious acorn bead (€59). I love the top of the acorn and the oak leaf on the other side.
Here I’ve used two Trollbeads Grey Prisms (which have always looked rather brown to me 🤔), a Smoky Quartz and Daylight Brilliance.
Since it’s Canada Day today, I decided to make a ‘camping in Canada’ themed bracelet. I added in the Ohm Beads Moosing Around bead. Happy Canada Day to my fellow Canucks!
So, I hope you’ve enjoyed this look at some new silver beads and do check the other ones out too as they are rather whimsical. Hope everyone is having a great start to the summer!
Disclosure: For this blog post I may receive some items as promotional samples.
Those really are sweet beads and beautifully designed. I love the Oak Leaf with Acorn.
They’re Nordic and Celtic symbols of fertility and are also considered to be a superfood, and so easily foraged in the Autumn. The larger the cap, the more bitter they are.
Camping on Canada Day is so Canadian and the weather is perfect for outdoor activity. I hope you have a beautiful, restful summer after a busy school year Martha!
Thanks for introducing us to these beautiful beads and bead maker.

Sarah, thank you for the information about acorns! I didn’t know the part about the bitterness, but of course you would know that! Aren’t we lucky with the weather today? I think in the fall I will need to take a picture of Scaredy Squirrel with a necklace using the acorn bead, surrounded by real acorns. 🐿

Thanks Nicola! I know it’s hard for artisans to get noticed and I so enjoyed her stories on Instagram about choosing the logo, packaging and so on.

Love your bracelet designs! The campfire bead is super cute, I’ll definitely be shopping that in the near future… of course, a couple others will have to make it into that same package – after all, we have to be a little mindful of our environment and conserve on packaging and shipping – at least that is a good excuse for more beads :0)
Thank you for introducing Corner 35, I love to mix brands and creating theme pieces.
Hope all is well for you and yours!
