For this blog post I’ve got a mix of new and old OHM for some summertime fun. Today sees the release of some food themed glass beads as well as quite a few others. I wanted to make some cute summer combos to celebrate the warm weather. Do check out the OHM website to see the rest of the new pieces, especially the glass Cheeseburger, which makes me chuckle every time I see it.
I love orange glass and the Cheesy glass bead does not disappoint. I took this picture directly in the sun and did not edit it in any way. Those colours! Cheesy is at the bottom left and looks magnificent! This is all older OHM glass, even the middle one. It was an Ohmnique that I bought at Perlen a while back.
Here is Cheesy is less brilliant light. Beside it is the silver Burger 2E. I love the sesame seeds on the top of the bun. In the middle is a special cube bead that was in the goodie bags at last year’s OHM10 event. The silver OHM Jar and glass Green Crack complete the bangle.
Here is Burger 2E in a little video so you can see the details. I like the cheese hanging out the side!
The next little combo I have uses the hilarious Mankini Gnome. How funny is he? π
Here he is hanging out with the original Mr. Gnome on the beach. In the middle is the new See Forever glass bead that has a sun on it. The blue matches really well with the older Blue Hole beads.
Mankini also got to hang out with the new Watermelon glass bead. On the right is an older one I bought from Perlen called Dragon’s Breath.
Here’s the new Watermelon glass bead in the sun on my recent Canada Day space picnic themed bracelet. The space cat is a recent Spiritbeads event bead from Star Bijou. The blaster is from OHM and is called Laser Gun 2E.
Here’s a similar all OHM leather bracelet. I’m not sure why I’m so taken with a space picnic theme. π€·π»ββοΈ
Let’s take a look at the details on Laser Gun 2E. It’s so awesome.
Moving onto a purple combo, this doesn’t use any new beads but I always thought this articulating Pre-Wine silver bead would make a great choice for any picnic themed bracelet. Again, the details are quite amazing! I think this would work really well on a necklace if one didn’t want to wear it on a bangle or bracelet.
Below left to right are Get in Shape (2015), Picnic Basket, Purple-wish, Pre-Wine and Dreamscape (2016).
That’s all for today! I hope everyone is having a great summer! Do let me know if any of these beads are ones you already have or if there is one you’d like to get.
Disclosure: For this blog post I may receive some items as promotional samples.
I like how you combined your whimsical silver beads with the new glass beads. A picnic in space sounds like a lot of fun (but also a lot of planning… wouldn’t want space ants to invade). P.S. Your Dreamscape glass is so amazing!

Space theme… I think you were picking up on the vibes of the partial solar eclipse we had yesterday in North America!
