Today I have some samples of Black Raven Beads.

Their newest collection consists of four glass beads and three silver beads. It’s called Sounds of Spring. I appreciate the gardening themed beads as I’m getting excited about flowers growing again after a super snowy winter.

As a long time Redbalifrog collector, it’s nice to know that the work by Yande and his artisans in Bali is continuing. The star of the show of these latest beads, is the Picknick Basket Bunny Charm. Look at the basket weave on the bottom.

There are three moving parts, which considering the low price, is pretty remarkable (€45,45). The little bunny getting into the basket is just adorable.

The handle and both lids move, as seen in this video. You can also use the handle as a way for the bead to hang, either on a necklace or bracelet.

One of the new glass beads is super pretty. The Cherry Blossom Glass Charm is a gorgeous pink. (€32,23) It was raining when I took this photo which really made the pink pop. To be noted, the colour is a bit paler in different light. The very last video is a good representation of the colour.

It pairs beautifully with the silver Cherry Blossoms Charm. (€37,19)

Another new silver bead is the Garden Boot Charm (€37,19). I really like the treads on the bottom!

Also, there is another bead with moving parts, the Garden Tools Charm (€37,19). The details are very sweet and the tools swing freely.

You can see how the tools move in the video below.

Another bead that works well with a spring theme, is the darling Bird in Peony Charm. (€39,67)

I like the details of the feathers on its back.

Another new glass charm is the Frangipani Glass Charm (€32,23). Or course, frangipanis don’t grow in Canada, but my daffodils are finally starting to grow after a long winter, LOL!

I remember the first time I saw frangipanis and I was absolutely mesmerized by them! This was at Gardens by the Bay in Singapore.

I wanted to see the difference between the old RBF Frangipani bead and the new BRB Frangipani bead. The old one is on the left and the newer one is on the right.

The green, yellow and white glass really is striking.

Here’s a bracelet using Black Raven Beads, Redbalifrog, Elfbeads glass and Sticks and Stones stones.

Lastly, I made a pink flower themed bracelet using Black Raven Beads, Redbalifrog and True Beadz.

I’d love to hear your thoughts. I’m really impressed with the quality of Black Raven Beads, especially for the price. I was lucky enough years ago to have lunch with Amanda of Redbalifrog and I remember her telling me all about Yande and his family and the work they do. It’s wonderful that the silver traditions are able to carry on through Black Raven Beads. Hope everyone is well and have a happy spring!
