The Bead of the Month for April (or BOTM) is called Mama Terra, in celebration of our planet earth. This is a limited edition (555 pieces have been made) so if you want it maybe don’t wait too long. The highlight of this bead is undoubtedly the hair, with braids, flowers and even a tiny butterfly on the bottom right.

On the front she has a serene look on her face and her arms are surrounding the earth, with North and South America showing. How nice to see the continents in recognizable shapes!

I tried it in a few different ways yesterday. First, with OhmGnome, the new Motherhood and Special Delivery beads which I’ll show in more detail tomorrow. The glass beads are all True Beadz.

Then I wore it with some Trollbeads for work and found a perfect song about conserving water in the Grade One book!

After school I made a brown leather bracelet and think this is a great earthy match. The blue Trollbeads are the Hong Kong Skyline ones from the World Tour. The wood ones are the Ohm Bolly Wood beads. I’ve used the Bare clips on the Trollbeads single leather bracelet.

Then, I put Mama Terra as the centrepiece of a soft colours bracelet. I used some of the wool textile beads and the Mysterious Ways Trollbeads Kit.

Finally, for going out to pick up my Pandora pre-sale purchase, I put Mama Terra in between two of the Pandora Petite Facets, which gives you a good idea of her size. With the Ohm Beads Twisted Bangle, I think this combo matches up really well. You can see Mama Terra on the Ohm website here and the Twisted Bangle here
