Trollbeads 2016 Autumn Collection- Live Image Preview

Let’s give this another go. πŸ˜€ I’ve got the beads grouped by category and they will be available from September 9, 2016.

The collection is called Spirit of Life. All the descriptions in italics are from Trollbeads.

Spirituality has that power of connecting people on a greater level. The feeling of unity is comforting and empowering-it encourages us to celebrate life and each other. Trollbeads’ “Spirit of Life” collection gives you the opportunity to live, share and tell your personal stories.

Starting with the Group 1 priced silver beads ($31 USD/$36 CDN) they are as follows, left to right below:

Quiet Flower-If you are quiet enough, you will hear the universe.

Only One You-There is only one you.

Pumpkin Ornament-Hallowe’en isn’t just a day. It’s a state of mind.

Vision of Light-Every glimpse of sun is a possibility.

Group 2 priced silver beads ($46 USD/$53 CDN) are as follows, left to right below:

Mexican Sugar Skull-Take a moment to remember your loved ones.

Wisdom Weed-Ganja is considered the wisdom weed by Rastafarians.

Symphony of Hearts-Listen to the soft tones of your heart.

Chihuahua-A Chihuahua in your dreams means that someone close is trying to get your attention.

Rise Together- We rise by lifting together.

The Mexican Sugar Skull hangs well on a Fantasy Necklace. I would put something else with it and maybe not on the pale pink necessarily, but just wanted to show how it hangs.

The Group 3 priced silver bead ($56 USD/$64) is below:

Indian Cress-Indian Cress originates from the Peru-home of ancient cultures and the Inca Empire.

Same bead, different view.

Twisted Bangles in Copper ($55 USD/$63 CDN) and Silver ($105 USD/$121 CDN)- A stunning expression and elegant way to wear your favourite beads.

It’s worth noting that the new bangles are exactly the same size as the smooth silver bangles. These are all a medium.

Calcite Rock ($63 USD/$72 CDN)- Calcite is said to boost your memory and is essential to people working with healing.

Feldspar Azurite Rock ($82 USD/$94)- Azurite helps to relieve stress and will enhance your creative gifts.

Carolina Jessamine Studs ($57 USD/$66 CDN) and Carolina Jessamine Lock ($59 USD/$68 CDN)- Jessamine symbolizes friendliness, modesty and simplicity. The yellow jessamine is elegant with a delicate fragrance.

Citrine Facet Tassel ($128 USD/$147 CDN)- Citrine is said to increase, magnify and clarify personal power and energy. (Just missing the ring, will add it later.)

Smoky Quartz Facet Tassel ($92 USD/$106 CDN)- It is said that smoky quartz proves that the light of love can displace even the darkest night.

Here are both tassels together.

The ring came in, so here it is. It’s called a Citrine Facet Ring and will be $195 USD/$224 CDN.

The glass beads will be available all together as the Friendship Kit ($170 USD/$196 CDN) or individually. ($34 USD/$39 CDN).

Soul of Flowers- “Each flower is a soul opening out to nature”- Gerard de Nerval

Nature Friendship- Appreciate all friends along the way.

Nature Dream- The legend says that when you cannot sleep at night, it is because you are awake in someone else’s dream.

Nature Unity- Where there is unity, there is strength.

Soul of Waves- Slowly drifting- wave after wave.

Soul of Sunshine- Do more of what makes you sparkle.

So, there’s an overview of the collection with photos all taken outdoors in natural light, so what you see here is the way I see it in real life. I’ve only had them a few hours, but took a couple of other photos. Please do let me know if you are interested in seeing anything in more depth and I’ll start with those next week on the blog. I really like this collection and can’t wait to make some combos!

Have a great weekend!

Disclosure: For this blog I may receive some items as promotional samples.

It’s minor agony to see these amazing new beads and have to wait almost a month to actually be able to buy some of them! The Friendship Kit is lovely and I really like the Calcite Rock bead as well. The Twist bangles are not calling to me, yet …. but that could change, unfortunately.
I am glad you posted more excellent photos so we could get a really good look at everything.
Thank-you for thanking the time to taunt and treat us at the same time, you made my evening so much better!

I had no idea I’d like the Calcite Rock as much as I do. I know I will be wearing it a lot in the fall. I think the mauve glass bead, Soul of Waves, would fit in with your collection really well. I’ll have to try it with my Sea Anemone tomorrow. Enjoy your evening!

You too Martha, we are still waiting for rain , nothing yet and only 5 minutes last night!

      • marthnick says:

Wow, we just had another huge thunderstorm with piles of rain. It’s cooling down slowly…hope you get some rain too! I had real problems with my iPhone lens fogging up while I was trying to take pictures this afternoon, ha ha!

Hi Carla! No, it was the only thing missing, so I’ll add a photo later when it arrives, or more likely, just do a blog post on it at that point. The Citrine Facet Tassel is gorgeous, so it must be beautiful! I think there are some photos on Endangered Trolls, maybe.

Thank you for the amazing photos! From stock photos I hadn’t taken any notice of Nature Dream, but yours almost looks like it glows! Definitely one that I will want to check out in person at some point. Nature Unity is one that had caught my eye, but it looks completely different in person. I was hoping to find another bead for my zombie bracelet to go with the retired Wild Cat and I think that just might be it (if I can find the right shade). The skull works better on a necklace that I would have originally thought πŸ˜€

    • marthnick says:

It’s so hard to tell from stock photos what we will actually like, I think. And yet when I go back to look at the stock photos of the glass, I think the ones I got look pretty close. Nature Unity has a slight bit of blue or grey in it, so there’s a bit of depth to it. Nature Unity really caught me by surprise. Again, there are hints of green and blue in it, as you can see in the photo at the bottom of the blog post. I hope you can find one for your zombie bracelet!

  3. Hi Martha! I am so excited about this beautiful collection! The glass beads are stunning in the sunlight! I also like the new twisted bangle and am pleased to find out that it’s not just a stacking piece. You can actually wear beads on it! I might consider the copper, since I have yet to purchase a copper bangle! Finally, I just adore the Feldspar Azurite. But, at USD $82, I may have to wait on it. Overall, it’s an awesome collection!πŸπŸ‚πŸ˜

    • marthnick says:

Carol, the copper bangle would be a great purchase if you don’t already have one as it’s really not expensive. The stoppers slide on just exactly as on a smooth bangle. It will be interesting to see what the best sellers will be from this collection!

Nature Unity, Nature Dream and Soul of Flowers are the glass beads that are immediately catching my attention. I’ve preferred Elfbeads glass to Troll glass for a while now, but I do like this kit, so I think I may well end up with a few of these! πŸ™‚ I also like the twisted bangles a lot. I’m seriously thinking of indulging in the copper. I’m still a bit undecided on if it would just be a stacking piece or whether beads would look good on it, so if you have a chance to show the bangles off in a few combos, that would be great! πŸ™‚ I’m a bit torn on the tassels. I think the stones in both of them are beautiful, but I really dislike Trolbeads’ predilection over the past few years to bedeck their mountings with those ugly blobs of silver. In my opinion, they’ve messed up quite a few otherwise-nice pieces by that. But I know a lot of people seem to be crazy about those same pieces, so maybe it’s just me. Are the blobs very noticeable when you wear the tassels?

    • marthnick says:

Ok, I’ll do the bangles first on the blog this week. And yes, some people will prefer to wear them without beads as they look great without beads on. If you want to see a specific bead on them let me know and I can send you a pic via direct message on Instagram. I can be your personal shopper! πŸ˜€

As for all the dots on the tassels, yes, they are very noticeable. I like the dots, so it’s fine with me, but if you don’t like them then definitely save your money for some glass and bangles!

  5. Noemi says:

I wasn’t to happy with the “Mexican sugar skull” when I first saw it as it didn’t look like a Mexican sugar skull to me. After you put him on the fantasy necklace I think I like it and I will probably be getting him. Thanks Martha!! πŸ™‚

  6. As usual Martha your photographs are stunning!! I am so excited to get them here so I can start playing with them too!!
I have learned, through 10 years, never to prejudge a bead until I have it in my hands!! πŸ™‚

    • marthnick says:

Gosh, thanks so much for your kind words, Louise! You are so right about judging beads from the stock photos. It definitely is better to see them in person, but sometimes impossible for people like me who have no bead stores around. Oh, and next time you’re on IG, touch my profile photo as there is a little video of the bangle!

  7. Diane Burrows says:

Lovely photos. I appreciate you listing Canadian dollar prices along with the US prices. I’m in Ottawa Ontario and have to buy based on photos. The “in real life” pics with some of the alternative angles give me a better appreciation of what I might want to pick up first. I will probably buy most items (not the chihuahua)over time. Thanks.

    • marthnick says:

Hi Diane, thanks for reading and I’m glad you enjoyed the photos! I know there’s nowhere to buy Trollbeads in Ottawa, because we went there recently and I looked to see if there was a shop before we went. I’m in London, ON, so nice to meet a fellow Canuck!

  8. Karen Horman says:

Nature Unity is magnificent – it is my absolute favorite!!! It looks like it has rose orbs in most of the pictures but one looks like brownish orbs – which is it? Thanks.

    • marthnick says:

Karen, when I look at it inside the house, it really looks brown. But in the bottom picture, it had just rained so I could see the layers of colours in it. The picture of it within the kit on the tree was taken when the sky was partly sunny, so we can’t see all the colours because of the reflections, I think? (I’m not a photographer so really don’t know what I’m talking about!) The picture of it by itself is what it would look like most of the time, quite brown. But that’s just my sample, we’ll have to see what others look like for sure.

  9. Natalie says:

Great photos Martha ❀ The copper bangle still stands out the most to me, I don't have a copper bangle yet so will probably go for this twisted one, excited to read your upcoming review πŸ˜€

    • marthnick says:

Thanks Natalie! The copper Twisted Bangle certainly is a decent price and is very pretty, so might be a good one to start with. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy it at all.

Thanks for the great photos. Like so many others, I like Natures Unity, Soul of Flowers and Calcite rock. I had been thinking that I don’t need the Soul of Sunshine because it looks so similar to a Magic Lamp bead I have from a previous autumn release. The citrine tassel for me is a highlight and I am undecided about the Smokey Quartz one as the stone seems so under-sized relative to the silver fitting. If I find one with a larger stone…it will be more tempting.

    • marthnick says:

Yes, my Soul of Sunshine matches perfectly with my Magical Lamp. They are both on a bangle in one of tomorrow’s photos, in fact. I just love the Citrine Facet Tassel. It’s super pretty. Truth be told, I’ve never really seen tassles in person before! I’ve only been to Trollbeads stores a few times and almost always with kids/husband in tow, so I haven’t had a lot of time to look around and have always been obsessed with looking at glass beads. So, I didn’t realize some might have a larger stone! I hope you can find one you like.

    Hi Martha
Beautiful detailed photos! Love the calcite rock, a must have. So much to like about this collection.

    • marthnick says:

Thanks for checking out the blog and glad you enjoyed the photos! The Calcite Rock is awesome for the fall. And I really love the openwork style silver beads. They are a bit darker too, really awesome!
