Ohm Beads has made a bead that is available exclusively at Perlen. She is a sweet little elf who is looking intently at her bead and is called My Precious. I really like her pointy ears and the way her legs are folded up. She appears to be deep in thought as she looks at her bead.
Her hair is quite long with a good amount of texture.
The box has a lovely illustration.
Here is the description on the back.
A clever added touch on Perlen’s part was to include a tassel with every bead. I’ve been noticing a lot of people with tassles on their bracelets, especially in Asian countries like Korea and Japan. It’s not that I know anything about trends, trust me, I’ve just noticed this on Instagram. The one I received is purple! My favourite colour!! The tassel is meant to wipe good energy to my house-sounds good to me!
I wanted to put My Precious on a bracelet with the Trollbeads Native Elements Kit, as I picture the little elf in the woods. I think the ‘pod’ beads with their sprouting bits are a perfect fit.
Starting from the top right and going clockwise are Trollbeads Rainbow Bridge, True Beadz True Touch Dragon Green, Trollbeads Green Pod, Redbalifrog Tree of Life, Ohm Beads Incremental Change, Trollbeads Red Pod/Aqua Edge Triangle, My Precious, Trollbeads Aqua Edge Pumpkin/Orange Pod, Ohm Beads Bar Brawl, Redbalifrog Fern Leaf, Trollbeads Aqua Edge Petals, the True Beadz as above and Trollbeads Floral Wishes.
Lastly, here’s another look at My Precious in the tree. I think it’s a super addition to any nature themed bracelet and I like the thought behind this one. I like to think that any time we get a new bead, we think of it as a precious treat. Have a great weekend everyone!
Disclosure: For this blog I may receive some items as promotional samples.
My Precious really is a charming bead and captures that feeling we bead lovers have when admiring a new bead. The wonderful beads you have chosen to accompany her/him,(because she could be androgynous), are glorious, as are your nature photos with nature beads. Waking up to this post is an inspirational beginning to my day. Thank- you, Martha

Glad you enjoyed seeing the My Precious bead. With a slight chill in the air this morning it’s just perfect for a fall bracelet, I think.

The My Precious is such a cute bead, and I love what you did with it here. I adore the Native Elements kit. I have a few of the pods, but never got the entire kit. I’ve seen you using it a lot recently, and every time I do, I think I should go hunt down the remaining beads sooner rather than later!

Thanks Kim, it really is a charming bead. Yes, if you like the Native Elements Kit it might be a good idea to pick up the remaining few you don’t have. And someday I need to get that other kit the same designer made, the one from last fall. I do love the unusual shapes!

Hi Martha,
Lovely bracelet design as usual. I do like th nature theme as it does seem that he is a forest type of creature ( yes I did say he as I don’t think he looks like a girl at all despite the long hair). I love this Bead and received it along with the white tassel ( I too was hoping for a purple one as purple is my fave color as well). I tried wearing this bead alone on a small sized
Bangle and really enjoyed the way it looked worn alone π

Ah! I need to try it by itself on a bangle, great idea! Maybe the Ohm Dirty Bangle. And yes, I can definitely see this as being a rather androgynous little creature!
