Ohm Beads released the third edition of their Dark Shadows collection and I’ve got a couple of pieces to show today. The Cranium is quite spooky and perfect for Hallowe’en. I really love the detail on the teeth. At first I resisted the idea of wearing this bead to work, but I think it’s small enough as to be unobtrusive on a full bracelet, so I’m going to wear it Thursday.
Widget is perfect for a steampunk look (which to be honest, is not something I can create as I don’t have the beads for it. Maybe someday!).
I was able to put together a mini bracelet to show the size of these beads. They are on the small side. Left to right are Royal Blood, Hot Topic, Cold Milk, Widget, Dark Soul, Cranium, Cold Milk, Mech Tech and Broken Heart. These are all on the Dirty Bracelet, which I think looks striking against the white beads!
Cranium makes a nice focal point for a simple Hallowe’en bangle with Live Your Fantasy and Get in Shape.
I really like the Sugar Sleigh Ride 2.0 with the Cold Milk beads on the Dirty Bracelet.
And finally, I think the openwork style of beads look great on the Dirty Bracelet. Left to right are Merkaba, Blush Hive Mind and T-Rex. The silver contrasts nicely with the dark grey colour. I think from the Dark Shadows Collection my favourite bead is the Cranium. With the dark finish it looks so scary, so I will be wearing it a lot for the last couple of weeks of October. Has anyone else purchased any of the third edition Dark Shadows beads?
Disclosure: For this blog I may receive some items as promotional samples.
I have most of the dark shadows collection except for cranium and the dangles. He seemed a bit scary looking to me. Lol.

He’s definitely on the scary side! Truth be told, other than the Trollbeads Mexican Sugar Skull this is the only skull I have, but I’m glad I have it for this time of year.

I want to do a dark steampunk bracelet ( along with the many, many other things I want to do!) I really like how the Cold Milk looks with that theme, but where do I find them? I’m thinking I might have to find something else for a contrast.

Suzanne, I love the Cold Milk beads and have gotten so much use out of them over the years! A really good equivalent is the True Beadz True Air Siberia bead. But, in case you’re not on Facebook, here is what Mike at Ohm recently posted. “Also previewing that day (Oct. 25) will be the Typo collection, some kind of drink collection-I’ve been told it’s glass and barrel shaped-everything else about them has been very hush hush.” So, next week check on Endangered Trolls or Charms Addict for previews perhaps, before making any purchasing decisions. π

Hi Martha!
The Ohm Cranium Skull is quite spooky and perfect for Halloween. I am pleased to see that Ohm is continuing with the Dark Shadows line! I actually remember watching that show as a child. It was a very unusual type of soap opera for back in the day!
In the early 1980s, I attended a college in Newport Rhode Island. A good friend of mine stayed in the Carrie Estates Mansion, (at the time a dorm), which was featured on the Dark Shadows series. It was a very creepy place and needless to say, many ghostly happenings were reported by the students. My friend claimed that she would often hear footsteps in the middle of the night in her room. One morning her shoes disappeared from her closet, but were later found on the other side of the door! I’m just glad that I didn’t live in that dorm! :O
Ohm Beads Dark Shadows collection always remind me of the “haunted” mansion! Lol! π
