Continuing on from yesterday’s blog post, today I have a few more pictures of the Chinese Lucky Coins by Spirit Beads, from Star Bijou. There is one in brass for €29 and one in silver for €39. The Star Bijou team is soon going to be making these as a dangle and incorporate them into stone bracelets, as well.

One side looks like this, with two dragons (and yes, it’s a bit upside down in the above photo).  Isn’t the detail beautiful?

I looked through more travel photos and found this one from the Lama Temple in Beijing. Such a fiercesome creature!

Just for fun, here’s one of my favourite travel photos of James having his photo taken yet again in China. He had already gone through this for 2 weeks in South Korea, so he was getting pretty tired of being the center of attention! Oddly, there must be a whole bunch of photos of our whole family floating around China because a bunch of times people would ask to take a picture of the four of us, LOL!

Anyway, here is the other side of the coin. I couldn’t get Google Translate to work with characters this large, so if anyone knows what it says please feel free to share. My guess is the characters mean, peace, health, love and money. 🤔

I really liked the brass one with the Dragon from yesterday’s bangle.

They make good spacers to sit on either side of a bead. When I looked around my bead box the only Chinese themed ones I could find were the awesome Ohm Beads Jiangshi and Chi Chi Sticks. The Jiangshi always makes me giggle, I must say. The glass beads are also Ohm, called Dark Soul, Broken Heart and Royal Blood.

I made up a little bangle also using the Jiangshi and a Trollbeads unique. Of the combos here, this one is my favourite. Nice and simple but interesting to look at, I think.

Lastly, here is a fun red leather combo with some bright colours. The advantage to putting the coins on leather is that it’s easier to see the decorative side. These are the first disc shaped spacers I have and it will be fun to figure out where I like them the best.

Hope you’ve enjoyed this look at these Chinese Lucky Coins. Coming up tomorrow will be the new Pandora Field of Flowers Murano (pink) and then Thursday will be True Beadz.
