I just got back from the most fantastic bead event that celebrated the 10th anniversary of Ohm Beads. The Ohm team put in an incredible amount of effort and planning to make sure all the attendees had a wonderful time. It was absolutely heartwarming to meet so many lovely people from around the world. I thought I’d share a few photos from the weekend and if you look on my Insta Stories on Instagram, there is a folder of #ohm10 posts that is fun to look through.

Friday evening was a chance to gather and here are just a few of the people attending. The bottom middle photo shows Game, who works in the Seattle office. It was so nice to be able to put a face to the name!

The welcome bag was well thought out. 😀

The view from the 41st floor of the hotel was quite something.

Kit had come up with this funny idea for these bead battles. Look closely at the beads used in the joints! 😱

Also in the welcome bags were these purple shirts and some of them were even personalized!

The next morning we woke up to an amazing breakfast. Everyone spent the weekend raving about the food and drinks, which were absolutely delicious and reflected the local culture.

After breakfast was the moment we were all looking forward to-the reveal of the purple room and swag bags. The centrepieces were outstanding.

Each personalized bag was full of goodies. Here is just a little bit of what was inside. 😱

Around the room were displays of upcoming releases and even some items they are just *thinking* about releasing. There were also lots of giveaways! Julia won a 💩 bead. LOL!!! I’m not even kidding.

We were treated to an example of how Gus Fink sometimes comes up with characters. We each made a scribble and then tried to see a character within that. As he was demonstrating, yet another bead was handed out!

There were more presentations, a fantastic lunch, more workshops, giveaways, chocolates, drinks and an amazing dinner. Maya was there to reveal the BOTM for September, Astronargh, which she designed! There are several different versions of it, all with variations of where the ray gun is situated. People who bought one at the event were having fun comparing their beads and seeing what the differences were.

I bought a Suckers bead after seeing it there in person. It’s really a fun and happy bead!

After dinner a bunch of us went for a walk down Bourbon Street. That was an experience!

The next morning it was time for a trip to the bayou. We had fun seeing some alligators and it was a relaxing and scenic boat ride.

After yet another outstanding meal, we boarded buses to head to the mystery destination for the evening. It was a place where they make floats and props for Mardi Gras!

After the tour we stepped into a room where we had the opportunity to decorate masks and have drinks, followed by dinner.

These are just a few of the many photos I took over the weekend and I encourage you to check out Julia’s Instagram for many, many more. I am putting on my to do list a tutorial for the Ohm leather bracelet and some of the tips I have for taking bead pictures with a phone. I’d like to finish this post by thanking the Ohm Beads team from the bottom of my heart. I’d also like to thank all the lovely people I met and had the pleasure of chatting with this weekend. Here’s to many more years of success for Ohm Beads! 💕💕💕
