The 2019 Trollbeads People’s Bead winner is Giada Manfredi of Italy and she designed the sweet Turtle Flower Bead. She loves turtles and says, “I found the inspiration from a holiday, where I was at a boat trip. I was snorkeling and I hoped to see a turtle…that was my dream. Just there I saw an amazing sea turtle that was swimming next to me! I was so excited that I could not move. It looked like the turtle was dancing, as a flower cradled by the wind.”

The underneath part of the turtle has lovely detailing and I like how shiny it is.

If you take a look at the shape, because it’s on an angle it’s a bit tricky to get glass beads to sit closely to it. It does flip around unless you secure it with stoppers on either side. I had great success wearing it like this for a morning when my teaching partner and I arranged furniture in our kindergarten classroom.

I do like it with greens and blues, to make me think of the turtle swimming in the water. Prisms and the small round gemstones work very well due to their small size.

When I was tidying my beads, I noticed I hadn’t used the Brush of Blue Kit for a while, so I incorporated some of them into a bracelet. I also used the Denim Prisms.

I like how sleek the Soft Wind of Change Lock looks here.

The oak leaves in my backyard are beginning to change colour and drop already, which led me to try a fall colours combo.

That’s it for photos with the Turtle Flower bead! I’m going to leave off with some of my favourite fall photos from years past, since there’s a sale starting today of beads from the previous 3 autumn collections. Enjoy the last days of summer!
