We decided to go camping for a few nights near Watkins Glen State Park in New York State, staying at a KOA. KOA is a chain of campgrounds that are very family friendly. When we used to go on long car camping trips when the kids were younger it was always our campground of choice as they were reliable for having clean bathrooms, wifi (albeit sometimes iffy!), a pool and organized activities.

On the way down there we stopped to see the eclipse! My son had made a pinhole viewer using a cereal box. We stopped at one of the highway rest stops and it was really fun because other people also had homemade viewers. We gathered around the parking area and chatted. Then I noticed the cool shadows!

The gorge trail was quite fantastic! There were a lot of steps up and down and the rock formations were amazing!

Of course, I took some beads along!

Here’s a shot of the bracelet that I took before leaving home. The lock and stoppers are Redbalifrog and everything else is True Beadz.

Below left to right are a Redbalifrog Log Stopper, True Beadz True Touch Shadow, Alchemy Breeze, True Blossom Shadow, The Wheel of Time and another Treasure.

Below are three Treasures in between two The Wheel of Time beads.

Below left to right after The Wheel of Time are True Taste Shadow, Alchemy Waterfall, True Air Shadow, the Redbalifrog Log Stopper, Dangle True Blossom Shadow and the Redbalifrog Frog Lock.

After lunch we went to the Corning Museum of Glass and oh my goodness, what a place! The building itself and the modern glass area were gorgeous!

Can you see the tree?

This one is called North Sea Waves.

Here’s one last look at the bracelet. Do let me know if you see anything you like or if you’ve been to these places!
