Today’s blog post showcases a couple of older Ohm Beads that I thought would be great for Valentine’s Day. With another bead brand we all know now making very few beads that are in a classic silver style, these two beads might really appeal to some people. The Cupcake ($35 USD) has the perfect amount of icing (frosting, to Americans, I believe) and I absolutely adore the cherry on top.
My Latte ($30 USD) has been popular during giveaways and a lot of people have it, but I thought some others might like to know about this sweet charm. The detail of the hearts along with the fact that it sits really nicely on a bracelet or bangle really appeals to me.
This is how I’ve been wearing them the past couple of days, on a bangle with a Pandora heart in between them.
This month’s Instagram colour challenge is red and white, so I used some True Beadz to make up this combo.
For an all Ohm Beads bracelet I went with a Cold Milk and sweets theme. The pink bead is a very old Ohm Bead, back before they made all the glass beads have the barrel shape. Then I’ve also used a Picnic Basket and Ohm Jar.
I think that these beads fit in well with any style or brand. I looked in my bead box for anything to do with hearts and found these Trollbeads. I love wearing a simple bangle like this pretty much every day.
Lastly, here’s a larger bracelet using quite a few pink beads. There are True Beadz in the Princess Kiss and Baby Pink shades, as well as a Rose Quartz and Strawberry Quartz from Trollbeads. The middle bead is the Live bead from Ohm Beads. It also works really well on the Ball Chain Necklace.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this look at a couple of Ohm Beads that are just perfect for this time of year. I love all the pink and red that’s out in the stores right now and these beads will go with so many things in my collection.
Disclosure: For this blog I may receive some items as promotional samples.
So cute Martha and I absolutely adore that simple bangle with the red enamel pandora heart…perfect! I do miss these simple, straightforward silvers-even Ohm doesnβt seem to be making as many nowadays. I was lucky to find an old sailfish last night as I love the older Ohm animals too and they have all but dissappeared. After reading this post I am not-so-secretly plotting to recreate that simple heart bangle you made as I type…π€πβ€οΈ

Thanks Tanya, I love that bangle too. Iβm glad Iβm not the only one who loves these charms. I think itβs partly how shiny they are that appeals to me. The trend across all bead brands seems to be for lots of detail but I love the smooth, shiny look. π€·π»ββοΈ

I love the details on the cupcake! (While I know this blog entry’s purpose is to highlight the sweet Ohm silver beads, it’s making me want to expand my TrueBeadz color palette.)

Hi April! Yes, I am aware that with the upcoming retirement of lots of True Beadz there is a bit of a rush to get a few last things. Somehow True Beadz have always reminded me of candy, so I couldnβt resist using them a lot with the cupcake. π

Hi Martha, First I have to say that I’m really not a big fan of Valentine’s Day, I’m also not into hearts, and I’ve shied away from all the enamel lately….so then why do I want that Pandora heart?!

Hi Martha, love simple bangle you designed especially the Cupcake charm. Wondering what brand made the Cupcake and Picnic Basket charms do not remember seeing them before ?
