Chronicles Amber, based in Ukraine, offered to send me some of their beautifully carved amber beads with flowers and how could I resist? I’ve seen little videos of how they carve and paint the amber beads and it is quite an astonishing process. Such steady hands! They are now making silver beads as well and I adore this Cutie Owl. Below left to right are Blooming Magnolia, Pink Tulips, Cutie Owl and Blooming Burdock. The Blooming Magnolia bead is part of a new Spring Bouquet Collection that has just been released today.

You can see the peach coloured ribbon in the box and I thought that colour looked marvellous with these beads. The Trollbeads Pink Prisms helped to give the same effect.

Let’s look at the amber beads close up. Pink Tulips is so delicate and I love the little bit of sparkle in the leaf.

Blooming Burdock has an incredible amount of texture and layering.

Blooming Magnolia looks so realistic!

Let’s take a look at them in a couple of short videos.
Lastly, I made up a bracelet incorporating a variety of beads from artisans and other brands. The stones are Andrea’s sTicKs & StoNEs, the silver Lovingly ladybugs bead is from Corner 35, the copper looking mesh bead was from Chamilia and the wood bead is from Mr. Bead.

That’s it for today! Like many of you, I have extra time on my hands these days. We are in our March Break week from school and then our schools have closed for an additional two weeks. I’m sure many of us are staying inside, going for walks and fetching groceries. I hope this look at these little works of art has helped to cheer up your day. Please let me know if you already collect beads from Chronicles Amber or just how you are doing in your country.
Disclosure: These samples were provided by Chronicles Amber. Their beads can be seen and purchased at Etsy.
Martha, you have more than cheered up my morning today! The videos are hypnotic! These beads are exquisite and tiny works of art.
Lucky you to receive such treasures! Each of the unique artisan beads are beautiful and I love the way you have styled them.
I’m off to work; not expecting many customers, and enjoying a shorter work day. Isn’t it great to have time to pursue our passions and hobbies while social distancing?
Take care of you and your beautiful family, and thank-you for this wonderful post 🌞

Hi Sarah! Yes, they really are little works of art. They make me think of those miniature paintings made in India centuries ago. I wonder if your store will eventually close down for a bit. I noticed the festival has been suspended for a while. I’m meeting with Trisha and Cheryl today for ‘outdoor coffee’. We walk to our neighbourhood school and keep our distance while sitting on the play equipment. I still can’t believe this is all happening.

It’s very worrying. I assume we will be closed to the public soon?
It’s great you can get together like that still!
