Nothing new to see here, but I finally finished my permanent Flowers of the Month bracelet and thought some people who are new to Trollbeads might like to see it. Inspired by Laura (@evepink123) on Instagram, I really wanted to have a bracelet with all 12 flowers. The added pearls give it such an elegant look! Too bad I don’t have anywhere nice to go these days, ha ha ha! Fortunately we only use washable paint and glue at school, so I will wear it to work and clean it if necessary.
Each flower has a pearl and sometimes they are tucked away into a hidden place. Perhaps the most popular piece is the Rose of June and recently it inspired a ring to be added to the Trollbeads collection. Almost all the beads are designed by Søren Nielsen, just a couple of them are not. They are designed by Aagaard family members.
One of the beads I just got last week is a new favourite, called Bindweed of September, below left. We have a LOT of bindweed in our back and front yards and it’s a real nuisance. However, the white flowers that appear are rather sweet and I adore the silver version! The one on the right is called Poppies of August. All of these Flowers of the Month beads are currently priced at $61 USD, which is quite reasonable, I think. The beads can be properly seen individually at Trollbeads.com. I went to the Materials section and clicked on Pearl to find them all in one spot.
I also really like the leaf part of Violet of February.
Another flower that I’ve had for a few years (I think these came out in 2013) is Water Lillies of July. It’s below on the left.
Check out these two on the end. On the left is Buckthorn of May and on the right is Calendula of October.
What I really like about these pieces is how they are interesting to look at all around, not just at the front. They are truly like small sculptures. This is the Daffodil of March below. If you look at the beads on the website you can see see them from different angles.
I also bought a pair of the sweet, tiny Hydrangea silver beads. They are so darling. I haven’t used them yet, but here is one close up.
Well, that’s all for today. As I said, there’s nothing new here but I was so excited at having a completed bracelet. With Pandora, I keep most of my bracelets made up because it’s such a pain to twist the beads around and around the threads. For all my other beads, I keep them loose so I can mix and match. Now I have two permanent Trollbeads bracelets, this one and my small silvers one.
For my Canadian readers, did you notice that now Trollbeads will have a dedicated Canadian website and the beads will ship out of Montreal? Years ago they were shipped out of the Toronto area, then they moved to New Jersey and now they are back to Canada.
Anyway, enjoy the weekend everyone! Do let me know if you collect these sweet beads!
This is beautiful! I love it.
Thanks so much! I’ve enjoyed wearing it today. 🙂
Gosh Martha this is just so beautiful and classic, my kinda bracelet. I have collected all the flowers months but never seem to be able to find the best combination.
I may take a leaf out of your book (again😃) and have another try.
I love the idea of having a few permanent bracelets and I think this one would be perfect for that.
Tracey, I think I might try making another permanent bracelet using something like the Happy Summer Kit. I tend not to reach for those beads but really like them! I know a lot of people only make permanent bracelets with Trollbeads, but I have not done it much before. Maybe I should also make a permanent OHM bracelet as I have a lot of silvers. 🤔 I think this could be a good project! Please share yours with me if you make one!

I agree Martha, I think having a few permanent bracelets on hand for those times for when you’re rushing out the door and just want to grab one.
It’s been on my mind for awhile, but I often have my favourite silvers and then undo a bracelet just to use one.
I’m going to work on it though, it is a good project, I totally agree 😃💖✨

This is lovely, Martha! I always liked that set, though I think I only have one of them (Daffodils of March). They look so beautiful the way you have them arranged. I don’t usually do permanent combinations either. I find it too much fun to play with my beads and make new combos. Or I’ll find myself wanting a few beads already on a bracelet for something else and pull them off. Of course that made shopping dangerous for a long time, since if I found a bead I liked I wasn’t stopping to think about how it fit in with what I already had. I’d just think, “Oh, I’ll always be able to come up with something,” ha ha. Especially once the bangle came out!
Ah, good point about the bangle, Kim. It’s hard to believe that it’s a fairly recent piece! As I was mentioning with Tracey, I think I’ll see if I can make a couple of permanent bracelets with glass. I have two of the Rocky Beach Kits, as I inherited one from my mom. If I add a couple of silver pieces that could be a whole bracelet right there.
I love the Rocky Beach kit. I think that’s the only set I bought immediately as a whole kit when it was first released. Scott Bouwens was selling beads he’d made from his own website at the time, so I bought a lot from him as well. So I have a lot of his big-hole beads which coordinate perfectly with the kit, and some others in bright blue which were just a fun set. He was selling small hole beads too, and I bought a lot of those as well. I have a necklace and bracelet I made which coordinate beautifully with Rocky Beach. I think I have a few loose focal beads for which the right project hasn’t hit me yet too.
Those sound wonderful, Kim! I remember when that kit came out and I was quite smitten with it. I was new to Trollbeads, so had never seen much glass other than Pandora. I remember Tartooful posted a picture that had many of the kits together and I kept going back to her blog to see that picture.
I think the all silver flower bracelet is gorgeous and also delightful with the pearls! The wright of it must feel amazing on your wrist. I tried to make a Trollbeads all locks bracelet and I’m one lock short to make it fit. I will look at their new Canadian website. That’s great news !
You’re right Sarah, it is a pretty hefty bracelet. I’d love to see your all-lock bracelet once it’s finished!
I’m looking forward to the dedicated Canadian website out of Montreal since I’m in Calgary. When I was able to travel to US prior to Covid, most of the Trollbeads stores in the Western US States had closed permanently. 😦
I wonder when summer 2021 collection arrives?
Hope you and your family are keeping well Martha!
Thanks Carol! I’m looking forward to seeing beads at a Trollbeads store in Michigan sometime when the border opens again. Too bad the stores closed where you used to see them.
Your two permanent bracelets are fantastic!
Thanks April! I’m really happy with them. 🙂
